Look, it’s a San Diego Comic-Con Meetup!
Tumblr! If you’re going to be at San Diego Comic-Con, you should come to this Almost Nerdy meetup with me! So many exclamation points, it’s like a Pokemon game!
(You don’t really have to be a fan of the site; it’s probably just going to be me sitting alone in a restaurant.)
Deets—
When: Friday, July 13th at 3pm (to whenever we get tired of staring at each other’s faces)
Where: Maryjane’s at Hard Rock San Diego, where the menu includes free bad advice and we can make all of the Spider-Man jokes we want
Let’s eat fries and try to make conversation IRL! We can take pictures and put them online to make other people jealous of all of the fun we’re having :)
Doctor Who returns to San Diego Comic-Con
This year’s panel, moderated by The Nerdist Chris Hardwick, will feature producers Caroline Skinner and Steven Moffat and stars, Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill in his first appearance at San Diego Comic-Con
Get details on upcoming Doctor Who specials to air before the new series starts and upcoming episodes of The Nerdist on BBC America over at Almost Nerdy.

HOLA Minions!
Just wanted to pop by her and let you all in on some of the things we’re cooking up for you guys and gals going to SDCC next week!
Fisrt up: WE MADE A COLORING BOOK! *cue applause* We have been wanting to do a coloring book since we started this whole business thing and finally, the stars aligned and we did it! It’s a coloring and activity book featuring our Pirate Monsters from the Captain Dan books. It’s got a whole lot of new, never-before-seen artwork. You should totally swing by and get yours. We’re only going to have 35 of them at the show, so get there early!
Second: We’re bring our MAGNET MACHINE! So, you can come to our table and get or make your own SKETCH MAGNETS! Just come to the table, grab a template (we’re bringing a lot of them) and take it to your favorite artist. Have them draw something for you on it (or you can totally draw your own thing on it. Whatever makes you happiest) then bring it back to Small Press table O-2 and for $5, we’ll make your original drawing into a ONE OF A KIND magnet! Neat, huh? I personally have a small collection that my wife got for me for my b-day last month. Take a look!
So there we are! I hope we’ll see you at Table O-2 next week!

San Diego Comic-Con is fast approaching, so I figured I’d throw this out there:
Anything formal that I have written or will write about the convention can be found HERE. My Twitter (@SierraHouk) is a good place to stay on top of articles, pictures, live-tweeting, humble brags, and more.
Feel free to live vicariously through me or hate me for going when you can’t. I understand completely: I know how much it sucks to be stuck at home while all of this is going on, so I’m going to try my best to put some fun stuff online. If you can’t go to the con, I’ll try to bring the con to you …or something like that. I’ve gotten confirmations for a few interviews/press opportunities for Almost Nerdy, and I’m going to open those up to readers’ questions.
Hopefully it will be entertaining and interactive, and hopefully I survive it all.
